What the methods are. ProofWipe implements NIST 800-88 Clear (overwrite) and Purge (firmware sanitize: ATA SANITIZE / Secure Erase, NVMe Sanitize / Format), and verifies the result by reading the media back. A firmware Purge reaches areas an overwrite cannot, such as reallocated sectors; whether a given method fits your data, policies, or obligations is your decision. ProofWipe makes no guarantee that using it satisfies any particular law, regulation, standard, or contract.
Certificates and logs are self-generated technical records of what the software did on your machine, not a third-party attestation or legal certification. Licensing is enforced with offline, signed keys: no activation server, no phone-home. Gated options stay visible in the app, greyed out with the reason stated.
